  • Biography

A native of Ormond Beach, Kathy Weston graduated from Seabreeze High School. Following that, Ms. Weston studied accounting at Stetson University and found the experience so enjoyable that she obtained her four-year degree in only seven years. During that period of time, Ms. Weston worked full-time at the Daytona Beach Police Department in a variety of capacities - Records Clerk, Emergency Communications Officer, and Part-Time Police Officer - and, later, in a local public accounting firm as an Accountant and Office Manager. Ms. Weston then decided to attend the University of Notre Dame Law School. While there, she served as the Business Manager of the Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy and graduated cum laude.

After law school, Ms. Weston practiced with the world's largest law firm, Baker & McKenzie, in the tax controversy practice group. After moving home in 2004, Ms. Weston parlayed her litigation experience into a general civil practice. Ms. Weston handles a wide variety of business and general commercial disputes along with an occasional tax dispute.
