As Managing Partner of Cobb Cole Law Firm, Mark A. Watts continues to build his powerful legacy in the Volusia County community through innovative growth solutions and an intentionally collaborative management style.
Mr. Watts is an active member of Cobb Cole’s Administrative, Land Use and Environmental Law Departments. His career is focused on representing landowners and developers in securing entitlements and regulatory approvals for the development of their land. In addition, Mr. Watts is experienced in structuring infrastructure financing using special assessment districts, community development districts, tax increment financing and other creative financing strategies.
Mr. Watts graduated from Florida State University in 1995 with a degree in International Affairs. He received a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Watts served as an Assistant County Attorney in Pinellas County. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
As a Volusia County native, Mr. Watts has proactively engaged in an extensive variety of leadership opportunities and local board commitments during his time with Cobb Cole. He has dedicated his time and expertise to organizations ranging from the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club to the Volusia County Association for Responsible Development.
Mr. Watts is married to wife, Natasha and has three children. He resides in his beloved hometown of DeLand, Florida.
