After more than 20 years representing businesses, landowners and professionals in the construction and real estate industry, Robert Doan now primarily serves as a mediator and arbitrator. He is a shareholder in the firm.  Mr. Doan mediates and arbitrates cases in all counties of Florida and throughout the eastern United States. He is board-certified as an expert in construction law by The Florida Bar.  He was named a Super Lawyer in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution in 2024.  Mr.  Doan’s law practice outside of mediation is now highly limited to serving as general counsel for several large general contractors, subcontractors,  and as a construction litigation consultant to practicing litigators.  Mr. Doan also assists project owners in contract selection, drafting, review and consulting during the design and construction phase of large projects, such as the construction of new corporate headquarter facilities.

Mr. Doan frequently teaches continuing education courses to the construction industry and real estate professionals, and has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida College of Building Construction and the College of Law. He is currently the secretary of The Florida Bar Construction Law Committee and serves on the Legislative Subcommittee for Construction Law. Mr. Doan has served as a peer reviewer and speaker for The Florida Bar’s Construction Law Institute on multiple occasions since 2010.

Mr. Doan attended the University of Florida on a Florida Academic Scholars scholarship, where he participated in the undergraduate honors program and was selected for membership in Florida Blue Key. He attended the University of Florida Law School. Upon graduation, Mr. Doan began his legal career in the construction litigation department of the West Palm Beach law firm of Boose, Casey, Ciklin, Lubitz, Martens, McBane & O’Connell, beginning his career as a construction and real estate attorney.  He now resides in Central Florida and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, friends and family.
